Three tiers. The right one depends on where you are in the process.

The Real Math

You’re about to spend $40,000–$60,000. The average Ontario buyer overpays $2,400 on their purchase. One session costs $297.

For context: Canadian car advisory services typically charge $399–$500 for a concierge tier that delivers data and leaves you to negotiate alone. Holdback’s Blueprint at $297 includes a live session, finance office preparation, trade-in strategy, and a written brief — with no financial relationship with any dealer.

Pricing FAQs

When do I pay?

+

At booking, via Stripe. Your session is not confirmed until payment is processed.

Is HST included in the listed price?

+

The prices shown are pre-tax. Ontario HST (13%) is added at checkout and shown as a line item on your Stripe receipt.

Can I upgrade my tier after booking?

+

Yes. Email hello@holdback.ca before your session and the difference will be processed.

What is the cancellation policy?

+

Cancel with 24 or more hours' notice: full refund. Within 24 hours: one free reschedule. No-show: fee is forfeited.

Do you work with used vehicle buyers?

+

Yes. Used vehicle purchases are covered under any consultation tier — pricing relative to market, inspection strategy, CPO vs. private sale analysis, and financing. No separate booking required.

Do you advise on EV purchases?

+

Yes. EV purchases involve federal and provincial incentive stacking, MSRP eligibility caps, and lease vs. buy decisions that are specific to EVs. These are covered in the Blueprint or Command tier.

Does the consultation still have value if the dealer won't negotiate on price?

+

Yes — especially then. A firm vehicle price still leaves the financing rate, lease structure, F&I products, and trade-in completely open. Most of the money buyers lose in a fixed-price deal is lost after the price is agreed. The consultation covers all of it.

The dealer told me the price is non-negotiable. Is a consultation still worth it?

+

Yes. When price is fixed, the financing rate, trade-in offer, and finance office products become the primary areas where money moves. These are covered in every session regardless of whether the sticker price is negotiable.

Do you have evening or weekend availability?

+

Yes. Consultations are available on weekday evenings and weekends. Booking is online — select any available slot when you book.
